Sta. Ana National High School
Sta. Ana National High School (SANHS), named after the patron saint Sta. Ana, is located along Damaso Suazo Street in Davao City. It is surrounded by residential areas, local businesses, and government offices, making it easily accessible to students from nearby communities.
The dominant language spoken in the area is Cebuano, used by approximately 70–75% of the population. Other languages and dialects spoken include Tagalog, Ilonggo, Ilocano, Bikolano, Pangasinense, and Kapampangan, reflecting the city's multicultural composition. The religious landscape is also diverse, with the majority of students and community members identifying as Roman Catholic, while others belong to Islam, Iglesia ni Cristo, Aglipayan Church, Protestant denominations, and Seventh-day Adventist Church.
History of SANHS
Sta. Ana National High School (SANHS) in Davao City was established in July 1976 as an annex of Davao City High School, starting with 271 students, five sections, and a small but dedicated team of teachers. It was founded to provide accessible education to the growing youth population in the Sta. Ana area, particularly those from low-income families. With the nationalization of public high schools, SANHS gained independence and gradually expanded its programs, faculty, and facilities. Today, it serves over 8,000 students across multiple campuses, continuing its mission to deliver quality, inclusive education and support the holistic development of its learners.
