The dominant language spoken in the area is Cebuano, used by approximately 70–75% of the population. Other languages and dialects spoken include Tagalog, Ilonggo, Ilocano, Bikolano, Pangasinense, and Kapampangan, reflecting the city's multicultural composition. History of SANHS

Sta. Ana National High School (SANHS) in Davao City was established in July 1976 as an annex of Davao City High School, starting with 271 students, five sections, and a small but dedicated team of teachers. It was founded to provide accessible education to the growing youth population in the Sta. Ana area, particularly those from low-income families. With the nationalization of public high schools, SANHS gained independence and gradually expanded its programs, faculty, and facilities. Today, it serves over 8,000 students across multiple campuses, continuing its mission to deliver quality, inclusive education and support the holistic development of its learners.
